What are A2M files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an A2M file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your A2M files.
What is an A2M file?
An .A2M file is an AdLib Tracker II Module file.
The .A2M file extension is associated with AdLib Tracker II Module files. This music-tracking software was popular in the 1990s amongst demoscene and chiptune musicians due to its minimal size and low resource needs, but is no longer actively developed.
Adlib Tracker II audio files (.A2M) allow users to store and exchange their music tracks which contain information about the patterns, instruments, sequence of patterns and playing order.
With Adlib Tracker II, you can make music tracks by combining patterns and instruments. Patterns are sequences of notes that are playable with the instrument of your choice, while instruments are a compilation of data that describe the properties of the sounds they can play. By combining both patterns and instruments, you can create amazing musical compositions.
