A2MENU File
What are A2MENU files and how to open them

What is an A2MENU file?
An .A2MENU file is an Aston 2 Menu file.
A2MENU is a skin file used by Aston 2 (also known as Aston Desktop or Aston Shell) to define the look and layout of the Start Menu. It stores menu graphics, icons, layout data, and related configuration so that Aston can render a customized start menu theme instead of the standard Windows one. These files are written and managed by Aston 2 and are part of its skin/theme system.
Aston 2 generates .A2MENU files when you design or export a Start Menu skin inside the Aston Skin Editor; Aston then loads them whenever its Start Menu component is displayed. Users install or select them through Aston's theme or skin settings so the Start Menu appearance reflects what's defined in the .A2MENU file.
An .A2MENU file is actually an archive using ZIP or PK-style compression; its content includes XML layout files named things like "MENU.XMLPK", "INDEX.XMLPK", "PANEL.XMLPK", and image assets with extensions such as .JPGPK and .PNGPK. The file begins with the ASCII bytes "PK" at offset 0, indicating ZIP-style packaging.
