What are 3PJ files and how to open them

What is a 3PJ file?

A .3PJ file is a 3D Text Commander Project file.

3D Text Commander Project files store saved design settings for the desktop Windows application Insofta 3D Text Commander. They hold all the choices you made for creating 3D text - such as font, style, lighting, camera position, and textures - so you can reopen and continue editing your project later without rebuild everything from scratch.

These files are created by the Insofta 3D Text Commander software and read only by that same program. The program transforms text into 3D artwork using your settings, then lets you export the finished result as an image (for example PNG, JPG, BMP), but the .3PJ file keeps editable information while the work is still in progress.

Internally the file is plain text starting at the very beginning with "[Image] \r \nFilename=" and includes many readable labeled settings such as "FONT NAME", "LIGHT 1 DISTANCE", "MODEL ROTATION X", "BACKGROUND COLOR", "REFLECTION", "TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND", "CUSTOM SIZE", "OBJECT COLOR", "ALIGN", "PERSPECTIVE", "ROTATION Z", and dozens more that control text, object, lighting, margins, and field values.

How to open 3PJ files

Important: Different programs may use files with the 3PJ file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your 3PJ file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
