What are 3SD files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a 3SD file or just wondering what they contain? We explain what these files are used for and show you software that we know can open or otherwise handle your files.
What is a 3SD file?
A .3SD file is a 3D Construction Kit Shape Data file.
3SD files are perfect for creating 3D models and animations. They store geometry, shape, materials and texture data accurately so each product looks perfect. With these files, users can easily build and manipulate 3D shapes quickly and efficiently.
3D Construction Kit lets users build and control 3D structures. It stores detailed data on each part in the .3sd file format - like vertices, edges, surfaces, materials and textures. All this info comes together to make precise 3D images or videos to view on a screen.
How to open 3SD files
Important: Different programs may use files with the 3SD file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your 3SD file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
We have not yet verified any programs for Windows that work with this specific file format. If you know one, please use the 'Suggest a program' link below. Thanks!
