What is Xion?
Xion is an audio player that allows the user to instantly play audio files on the computer. The audio player was created by Cliff Cawley, and it provides the user with just the basic functions of an audio player. The interface is clear and simple, uncluttered. All the options are displayed in an organized manner, and in fact, this is one of the simplest interfaces there are today – with regards to audio players.
A small digital clock displays the time, the volume control is on one side and the play, pause, stop, forward and back options are on the bottom of the panel. What users find most interesting about the player however is not the way it plays audio files, but the special feature integrated in the software that enables users to change the skin of the player no matter what style or design they want.
This is possible through an application that enables users to directly load their PSD files, and through the use of layer names, the software will instantly convert the PSD file and load it as the player’s new skin. This is free software that is compatible with Windows operating systems.
