STP Viewer

If you are looking for STP Viewer, you have come to the right place. We explain what STP Viewer is and point you to the official download.

What is STP Viewer?

For viewing STEP files (Standard for Exchange of Product model data), ideaMK provides the user with the software STP Viewer. STEP files and .stp files are generally file extensions for 3D objects created through CAD (computer-aided design) software, for viewing purposes only. The file extensions make the objects easily viewable through various software applications, not necessarily limited to CAD model creation software.

The program displays the object on the viewing panel, and all components or markers related to the object in tree view on the left side panel. The user is given several options for manipulating the object in terms of how it is viewed: zoom, rotate and 2D view of all angles of the model. Viewing tools are provided on the toolbar directly under the main menu bar of the user interface. When the mouse is place over any of the tool icons, a brief description of what the tool does is displayed. The program also allows for changing skin color and shade of the object.

STP Viewer is free software that can run on Windows operating systems (Windows XP, Vista and 7), as well as Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.
