What is SMART Board Software?
SMART Board Software is from Smart Technologies, Inc. This is software that provides the user with an interactive whiteboard plus various tools and applications, which can be utilized for presentations, trainings and classroom lectures/lessons.
The SMART Board Software is comprised of several components: SMART Start Center for accessing applications and files, Notebook for the creation of presentations, Gallery Collections which contains images and templates; Recorder, for recording the user’s actions on the screen; Video Player, on-screen keyboard; Floating Tools for writing notes and drawing shapes; Control Panel; Bulb Saver, which conserves power of the projector or interactive display screen; support for mobile and wireless devices; and Board Diagnostics, which is the Help tool of the software.
The interactive whiteboard supports finger and pen touch. A System tray icon will be installed when the SMART Board software is installed. Clicking on the icon will launch the software’s Start Center where the applications and tools can be accessed. Notes created through Notebook can be inserted in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
SMART Board Software is compatible with Windows-based systems.
