PoiEdit is a software that is used as Places of Interest (POI) files management system. It comes with a compatible matrix that lets you organize ad converts files depending on the compatibility with the other hardware used.

The files can also be transferred and loaded in Global Positioning System software such as the Destinator, Garmin, Navigator and Smart Path. The files can also be exported and loaded in other Microsoft-compatible programs such as Microsoft Map Point and Map Quest. Places of Interest files can also be saved in a specific location on your computer and you can keep them secure by indicating specific passwords. This then restricts other users of your computer from importing , exporting, and loading the files somewhere else.

Using the file can be learned upon installation as tutorials and Help Guide are provided. This software is widely used in European countries such as France and Denmark. The PoiEdit software is also compatible with several operating systems including Windows XP,2000, Vista, and 7.
