What is an OV2 file?
Files that contain the .ov2 file extension are most commonly associated with the TomTom GPS navigation device. Users place the TomTom device in their car and use it to get directions from point A to point B.
The OV2 files contain a database of the "point of interest" locations that are used by TomTom GPS devices. The OV2 file can be manually created using a Pocket PC device with TomTom Navigator or a user can convert an existing OV2 database to the TomTom Navigator with the TomTom Home software application.
Overlay files have also been known to use the .ov2 file extension.
