Pelles C

If you are looking for Pelles C, you have come to the right place. We explain what Pelles C is and point you to the official download.

What is Pelles C?

Pelles C is a comprehensive kit for Windows developers working on the C programming language. As an integrated development environment, the software can be used for managing projects, performing debugging operations, editing source code, and converting source code into other languages using its built-in compiler.

The earlier versions of the program had a compiler based off Hanson and Fraser’s Local C Compiler but later editions added support for the newer standards of the C programming language, as well as a global optimizer and new extensions for Microsoft. The software provides inline assemblers for X86 set architectures: ARM is supported as well. The program also supports both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. Supported intrinsics for the latter include the vast majority of SSEs (SSE through SSE4.2), AVX/AVX2, and AES intrinsics.

Besides the standard source code editor provided with the software, it also features editors for a variety of other functions, such as for editing myriad resources and hex dumps. Customizable controls can be set using one of the editors as well and cursor, bitmap, icon and video editors are all part of the package. The program is free software.
