What is Linux MultiMedia Studio?

Linux MultiMedia Studio is a free cross-platform application that enables users to produce music on the computer. The program can produce music by creating melodies and beats, synthesizing and mixing sounds, arranging samples, and playing on a MIDI keyboard by combining the features of trackers, sequencers and synthesizers. It runs on both Linux and Windows platforms provide support for more than 15 languages.

Linux MultiMedia Studio features a wide array of tools that include a song-Editor which allows users to compose songs and a Beat+Bassline-Editor for creating beats and basslines. An easy-to-use Piano-Roll for editing patterns and melodies, and a full user-defined track-based automation and computer-controlled automation sources as well as an FX mixer complete with 64 FX channels. In addition, it also comes with many ready-to-use instrument and effect plugging, presets and samples. Moreover, the program can import MIDI files, Hydrogen project files and FL Studio ® project files. It is compatible with many standards such as SoundFont2, VST(i), LADSPA, GUSPatches, and MIDI.
