What is Informed?
Informed Filler is the software created by Shana which generally contains forms that are referred to as Shana forms. However, in April 2003, Shana was bought by FileNet. Shana Informed Filler will let its users fill-in forms online, save the form on their local PC or LAN, e-mail the form, digitally sign an electronic signature, and transmit the form through various recipients. These forms can perform thorough calculations or do comprehensive edits and choice lists. The program can also recall previously used values, and other available time-saving features. Later versions of a form may submit the data to a database.
When users start or open a new form, Informed has the capability to check if there are any current versions of the template which can then be automatically updated. Users just have to click the "Update" button if they get prompted with a message like "A new revision of the template is available. Would you like to update your copy now...?” Shana forms can be accessed from the Web by using the forms index. Users just have to click on the hyperlink and Informed Filler will open with the form in it.
