IBM Lotus Freelance Graphics is a presentation graphics program used for reporting plans, proposals, summary ideas, along with multimedia devices. The program is part of a suite called SmartSuite; an alternative to the dominant office suites. The graphical interface of the program is opaque, with retro themed icons. There are also features such as ‘look’ that has a ready fill in the template. The range of the template is relatively limited however. The program is also fitted with charts, graphs, and clip-arts. The product files of the program are also adaptable to other presentation programs and can be exported as a basic HTML version. Other features include slide finder, save and go, PPT file support, TWAIN support, transparency support for GIFs, speaker notes, and many others.
The software was originally developed by Lotus Software before being acquired by IBM. The software, along with the suite, was not able to compete with Microsoft Office and since then (2013) IBM has withdrawn and discontinued the support on SmartSuite.
