If you are looking for Crystal Reports, you have come to the right place. We explain what Crystal Reports is and point you to the official download.
What is Crystal Reports?
Crystal Reports is software that provides the user with a selection of tools for the creation of reports. Categorized as a Business Intelligence (BI) program, the software was developed by Business Objects, a software development company based in France. The company is part of the SAP AG Group of Companies.
The program utilizes the user’s database to generate a report. Data sources can be varied, ranging from small and medium-scale databases created through Microsoft Office Excel or Microsoft Access, to large-scale databases from Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
When the program is accessed, it launches a window which provides the user with the option to create a new report through the integrated wizard, start with a blank page, or open a Crystal Reports document previously created by the user.
Once a selection has been made, the user is provided with the option Available Data Sources. From here, the user can choose the database that they want to connect to the program. After the database has been exported to the creation window, the user can then edit the following: Report Header, Page Header, Details, Report Footer and Page Footer.
