The Nero Cover Designer is analogous to Cyberlink’s LabelPrinter software, as both are intended to create labels and covers for media storage discs, such as CDs and DVDs, and even for jewel case inlays in case you are going the professional route and plan to pack your discs in clear cases; it can also create mini-booklets, like for albums for example.
Cover Designer also supports HP’s LightScribe technology (for select discs only compatible with LightScribe), which allows users, for example, to laser-etch a design on the upper-side surface of the disc itself. This makes Nero’s Cover Designer a one-stop shop for the final touches on the packaging of discs. Cover Designer comes as part of Nero’s multimedia suite, like the Premium Reloaded edition; purchased this way, Cover Designer interacts with other Nero applications (although it is a stand-alone product), creating a seamless process of media disc creation from start to finish.
Like LabelPrinter, Cover Designer is able to import designs from existing, preloaded templates, or even from standard images and photos from your own hard disk. It can even import images directly captured from a scanner or a webcam straight to the cover, label, jewel case inlay or booklet cover.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Cover Designer can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
