What is CMS IntelliCAD?
The CMS IntelliCAD software is a CAD suite that claims unparalleled compatibility with Autodesk’s AutoCAD. CAD file format support is extensive, including DXF, DGN, DWF, DWG, DAE, SAT, PDF, SVG, STL, BMP, EMF and SID support. Users get to access 3D surface commands as well as ACIS 3D solid modeling utilities. The software also boasts ActiveX integration, which means that a user can copy data or graphics from CMS IntelliCAD straight into a Microsoft Office application. The same goes for copying IntelliCAD data into an OpenOffice application.
The software lets users generate photorealistic 3D images and carry out in-place edits. It has a Drawing Explorer that helps users manage the various components of their CAD design, from its layer components to its line components. There is a graphical block preview option as well as real time panning and zooming support. Users also get the benefit of multi-level undos and redos, a script recording utility, multiple drawing support (more than one drawing can be opened at a single time), toolbar and menu customization, layer state and layer filtering, and voice annotation tools. It can run on Windows operating systems.
