WMDB File
What are WMDB files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a WMDB file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your WMDB files.
What is a WMDB file?
A .WMDB file is a Windows Media Player Database file.
Files that contain the .wmdb file extension are most commonly associated with the Microsoft Windows Media Player. The WMDB files used by this media player contain a library of media files used by the application.
These WMDB files do not contain any actual media data but instead contain a list of references to the actual audio and video files referenced by the WMBD so that the Microsoft Windows Media Player can locate the media files that a user wants to play on their computer. These files can only be used with the Windows Media Player and are not compatible with other media playback software applications.
How to open WMDB files
Important: Different programs may use files with the WMDB file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your WMDB file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
We have not yet verified any programs for Windows that work with this specific file format. If you know one, please use the 'Suggest a program' link below. Thanks!
