What is a WMDB file?

A .WMDB file is a Windows Media Player Database file. Files that contain the .wmdb file extension are most commonly associated with the Microsoft Windows Media Player. The WMDB files used by this media player contain a library of media files used by the application.

These WMDB files do not contain any actual media data but instead contain a list of references to the actual audio and video files referenced by the WMBD so that the Microsoft Windows Media Player can locate the media files that a user wants to play on their computer. These files can only be used with the Windows Media Player and are not compatible with other media playback software applications.
