VSDX File
What are VSDX files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a VSDX file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your VSDX files.
What is a VSDX file?
A .VSDX file is a Visio 2013 drawing file.
Microsoft developed the VSDX file format for Visio 2013. It replaces the VDX file format, which is also known as Visio XML Drawing. The VSDX file format also replaces the VSD file format, the binary file format of drawing files created using older versions of Visio. Visio 2013 is bundled with Microsoft Office 2013. This program provides a set of tools for creating and editing diagrams, charts, and other presentation graphics, which can then be embedded in MS Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations. As standalone files, these drawing documents can be opened, viewed and edited using Visio 2013. The VSDX file format is also based on XML and Open Packaging Convention standards, providing optimal interoperability support for third-party applications.
