What is a TRK file?
The .trk file extension is most commonly used by the CompeGPS Land GPS interface application. The TRK files contain maps with a series of overlaid locations. These files are used by the CompeGPS software to plan routes that can be loaded into CompeGPS GPS devices.
The .trk file extension is also used for Fugawi Global Navigator tracklog files, GeneRally track files, IL-2 Sturmovik track files, Kermit script files, LP Ripper track analysis files and RollerCoaster Tycoon track model files.
