Tracker

If you are looking for Tracker, you have come to the right place. We explain what Tracker is and point you to the official download.

What is Tracker?

Tracker is an open source physics application that can be used to model images and videos for physics-related education or simulations. The software is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux users. Its tracking abilities make it possible for users to perform object tracking both automatically and manually, as well as to use vectors in their tracking operations. Users can also add a visual overlay of data to better analyze and compare object models with real world videos. The program’s model builder automates the scaling and synchronization process automatically for this.

Users are also able to use different measurement tools for data gathering and calibration, and can even specify particular variables for their data plotting and analytical stages. Curve fitting tools are included and come in both manual and auto options. The program’s digital library is accessible through the Web and includes several free videos.

Tracker is available in a number of languages, including Czech, Finnish, Korean, French, and Indonesian. It uses the Xuggle video engine for video recording and playback, although users running Windows or Mac OS X can also work with the QuickTime engine.
