Opening TIP files

Did your computer fail to open a TIP file? We explain what TIP files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your TIP files.

What is a TIP file?

Files that contain the .tip file extension are most commonly associated with the TuneUp Styler software application. TuneUp Styler is a utility that allows users to create custom desktops for their Windows operating system.

The custom desktops that are created with the TuneUp Styler software replace the standard Windows icons with custom icons that have been created by the user. The custom desktop themes created with the TuneUp Styler are saved with the .tip file extension.

The .tip file extension is also used for Microsoft "tips" files.

The Tru-Designer program has also been known to use the .tip file suffix for the presentation files that are created with the software.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
