What is a SVD file?
Files with the .svd extension are most commonly associated with the Microsoft Word word processing application. When a user is working on a document in Microsoft Word, the application automatically saves the document at set intervals. This prevents the user from losing all of the file progress in case of a system or application crash. When the application performs this auto-save function, it creates a SVD file containing the progress of the Word document.
The .svd file extension is also used for video CD files.
