How to open SMS files
Did your computer fail to open a SMS file? We explain what SMS files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your files.
What is a SMS file?
Files with the .sms extension usually contain SMS text messages that have been sent and received by a Sony Ericsson cell phone. When a user exports the messages from the cell phone to their computer, the files are saved with the .sms file extension. The SMS files are saved in a text-based format.
The .sms file extension is also used for Sega Master System emulator ROM image files, Microsoft package definition files, StarPlayer files, Warcraft 2 map files, Train Simulator sound management system files, OpenOffice.org Math application formula document template files and Netscape PHYSICON Interactive plug-in files.
