Opening RV files

Did your computer fail to open a RV file? We explain what RV files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your RV files.

What is a RV file?

Files that contain the .rv file extension are usually used for streaming videos online. The RV files can be structured as a single stream or as a scalable SureStream file.

The RV file format is similar to the RM file format, but RV files contain video in addition to containing audio.

The SPEFO software application also uses the .rv file suffix. The RV files that are used by this program contain stellar spectra analysis files.

The DataFlex software program is another application that uses the .rv file extension. These files contain report view files that have been created with the software.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
