What are RTE files and how to open them

What is a RTE file?

How to open RTE files
Important: Different programs may use files with the RTE file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your RTE file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
While we have not verified the apps ourselves yet, our users have suggested ten different RTE openers which you will find listed below.

While Autodesk Revit Template is a popular type of RTE-file, we know of 3 different uses of the .RTE file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.
Fugawi Route Format
We know that one RTE format is Fugawi Route Format. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
RTE Encoded File
We know that one RTE format is RTE Encoded File. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
