R73 File
What are R73 files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a R73 file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your R73 files.
What is a R73 file?
A .R73 file is a Split WinRAR Archive (part 75) file.
Files with the .R73 file extension are split archive files created by older versions of WinRAR. Newer versions name the files name.partXX.rar.
WinRAR and other compression tools take collections of files and compress them into a single archive file, normally to save hard drive space and to make distributing the file collection easier.
Archive files can get very big, and sometimes it is necessary to split them into smaller parts to fit on CDs or USB drives. When an archive file is split, each part of the archive is assigned a numbered file suffix. Files with the R73 extension are part 75 of the split archive (the first part is named .RAR, second part .R00, third part .R01, etc.).
To access the content of the .R73 file, you will need to have all the archive part files in the same folder and open the first file (with file extension RAR) with your compression tool.
