PWI File
What are PWI files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a PWI file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your PWI files.
What is a PWI file?
A .PWI file is a Pocket Word document file.
Files that contain the .pwi file extension are most commonly associated with the Microsoft Word word processing application for Windows Mobile devices, also known as Pocket Word.
PWI files contain word processing documents that have been created with the Pocket Word application. The PWI file format is similar to the DOC file format, but the PWI file format does not allow for headers, footers, captions, footnotes, or comments.
PWI files are used by hand-held and pocket computers, so they are less versatile than the full-featured DOC file format.
A user may open a PWI file on their computer instead of their mobile device by syncing the device with their hard drive.
