What are PSH files and how to open them

Important: Different programs may use files with the PSH file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your PSH file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

All known file formats using extension .PSH

While LaserGRBL Materials is a popular type of PSH-file, we know of 2 different uses of the .PSH file extension. Different software may use files with the same extension for different types of data.

Photodex ProShow Show File

Photodex ProShow Show files (extension .PSH) are project files created by Photodex's ProShow slideshow software when a user builds a new slideshow. These files record every setting, effect, transition, animation, caption and the layout of each slide to allow the user to load, edit or replay the show in the ProShow software. No actual image, video or audio data is stored within the file; only file references (paths) to the media used are included.

When you use ProShow Producer (or similar editions in the ProShow line), saving a show produces a .PSH file. It is intended for internal use in ProShow - for editing, previewing and modifying the slideshow. To share or view the show outside ProShow, the show must be exported (rendered) to video, executable slideshow, DVD, Blu-ray or other formats. Loss of the .PSH file means loss of all your editing work unless you have backups; the media files referenced must also be preserved in their original locations or ProShow will prompt you to relink missing content.

Files begin with the ASCII signature Photodex(R)ProShow(TM) ProShow(TM) followed by configuration fields. The format includes internal keywords such as SHOW FILE VERSION, OUTPUTIMAGESIZEX, OUTPUTIMAGESIZEY, VIDEOBITRATE, VIDEOFRAMERATE, DISPLAYSIZEX, DISPLAYSIZEY and FILEPATH entries.
