Opening PKT files

Did your computer fail to open a PKT file? We explain what PKT files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your PKT files.

What is a PKT file?

Files that contain the .pkt file extension are used by a variety of different software programs for a wide range of different file formats.

Files with the .pkt suffix usually contain fonts that have been created in the TeX computer language. The TeX language was created to allow users to create high-quality books with little effort and to allow users to experience the same results on all computers.

The .pkt file extension is also used for the message packet files that are associated with the Fidonet application and the EtherPeek application.

The Packet Tracer simulation files and capture files that are created by the TTC FireBerd 500 application also use the .pkt file suffix.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
