What is a PKF file?
A .PKF file is an Adobe Audition Peak file.
.PKF Adobe Audition Peak Files are used by Adobe Audition, a digital audio workstation software. They store peak data of audio files. This data provides a visual representation of the audio waveform. It allows editors to identify audio peaks and make precise edits quickly.
These files are generated automatically when an audio file is imported into Adobe Audition. They are saved alongside the original audio file. The peak data stored in the PKF file is used to generate the waveform display in the software. This is essential to audio editing and mixing.
Note that the peak data does not contain any audio data. Therefore, it cannot be used to play back the audio.
