What is a PEX file?

A .PEX file is a SilkExplorer - Performance Explorer Workspace file.

This is a proprietary file format developed by Micro Focus for use with their SilkExplorer performance testing software. The file format is specifically designed to store performance testing data and results generated by SilkExplorer.

PEX files contain all the information necessary to recreate a performance testing scenario, including data such as script definitions, test configurations, and performance results. This information is stored in a structured format, allowing users to easily view, analyze, and compare performance test results.

Using PEX files, users can quickly and easily recreate performance testing scenarios to determine the cause of performance issues and determine the best course of action to resolve them.
