ORF File
What are ORF files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an ORF file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your ORF files.
What is an ORF file?
An .ORF file is an Olympus Digital Camera RAW Image file.
RAW files are photos captured by digital cameras. The photos are uncompressed and unaltered - no processing has been done on the image as it is saved exactly as the camera lens sees it.
RAW images have the maximum amount of detail, so photographers prefer to work with this format when post-processing the photos. In addition, RAW can easily be edited and converted to other more common image formats.
RAW photos with the ORF file extension have been taken with an Olympus camera.
