OFM File
What are OFM files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an OFM file or just wondering what they contain? We explain what these files are used for and show you software that we know can open or otherwise handle your files.
What is an OFM file?
An .OFM file is an OmniForm Form file.
The .ofm (OmniForm) file is a file format used for document conversion. This type of file has the ability to convert one type of document, such as a Word document, into another type like PDF, XML, RTF, or Microsoft InfoPath forms.
OFM files serve as an intermediary between the different document forms. Files with .ofm normally contain digital signatures, attachments, field validation, calculations, and automatic form fill that are necessary to verify what type of document needs converting.
To ensure the security and privacy of data, OFM files use industry-standard data transmission encryption that is also common to other files. Files in OFM format can be opened with Nuance Communications OmniForm on Microsoft Windows.
