What is OmniForm Premium?
OmniForm Premium is a form creator and converter. The conversion feature is meant for users who have a hardcopy (paper) forms and want to convert them into digital files without having to do manual copy-entry, saving the user the trouble of having to do a painstaking recreation of the form. In order for this to be possible, the program requires the user to scan the paper forms first, then run the program, which makes use of character recognition software to render the scan to a digital form.
A user can also create an entirely new form, if desired. The utility is able to export forms in a number of formats: they can use the PDF extension, the RTF extension, the HTML extension, or the program’s native filetype, OFM. Forms can be automated too, e.g. fields involving numeric data and cross-field computations can be computed automatically be entering a formula into the file. Programming experience is not needed, since much of the form-creation proceeds by automation. The program also comes with a Form Filler management utility and the ability to export data to different types of databases. The program is Windows-compatible but does not work with Vista.
