What is a NSF file?

NES Sound Format Audio File
These NSF files are audio files that contain music and sound effects from Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) video games. The NES was a popular home video game console released in the 1980s, and NSF files are used to store and play back the audio, often both music and sound effects, from NES games.
