What is a MTX file?
MTX files have multiple uses, and MetaStream 3D Scene is one of them.
MetaStream 3D Scene
MetaStream was a 3D animation technology for use on the internet. It was invented by MetaCreations, which acquired 3D pioneers Viewpoint Corporation. The MetaStream format focused more on high-detail 3D objects, whereas other 3D technologies like VRML focused on 3D scenes.
How to open MTX files
Important: Different programs may use files with the MTX file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your MTX file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
