Are you having problems opening a MOI file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your MOI files.
What is a MOI file?
The .moi file extension is most commonly associated with files that are created by a variety of JVC video camcorders. These files contain the time-stamp information and other file details for an associated MOD or TOD video file.
Files that contain the .moi file extension do not contain any actual video data in and of themselves. The actual video file that the MOI file is associated with is stored in the MOD or TOD file format. The MOI file only contains information such as the video time stamp and the video codec, which is connected to the MOD or TOD files. The MOD or TOD files are the files that store the actual video data..
