What are LID files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a LID file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your LID files.
What is a LID file?
LID files have multiple uses, and Kodak EasyShare Image Album is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
Kodak EasyShare Image Album
The LID files used by the Kodak EasyShare application contain information about photos and videos that have been taken with the Kodak EasyShare camera. The LID files reference which album a photo or a video is stored in, making it easier to manage photo and video files on a user's computer.
The LID files do not contain any image data. They only reference the image files that the camera has captured. The files are used by the software that is included with the purchase of the EasyShare camera.
EasyShare, both the cameras and software, has been discontinued by Kodak.
How to open LID files
Important: Different programs may use files with the LID file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your LID file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
