LANGUAGE File
What are LANGUAGE files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a LANGUAGE file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your LANGUAGE files.
What is a LANGUAGE file?
Files that contain the .language file extension are normally used by the Skype online communication software application.
The LANGUAGE files that are used by the Skype software contain information that allows a user to change the language that is displayed on the user's Skype interface. A user can go into the "Tools" menu of the Skype software and can then select the "Change Language" option to edit the default language that the software interface displays.
For example, if a user's Skype interface is displaying text in English and the user is a native German speaker, he or she can change the interface to show the German language by selecting this option. The LANGUAGE file holding the German language data allows the user to perform this action.
How to open LANGUAGE files
Important: Different programs may use files with the LANGUAGE file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your LANGUAGE file is, you may need to try a few different programs.
We have not yet verified any programs for Windows that work with this specific file format. If you know one, please use the 'Suggest a program' link below. Thanks!
