The .lang file extension is a setting file format that contains different dialect systems, which changes the language database used in the interface and/or editing process. LANG files can be found in many popular software programs, but they are more frequently used in MS Word 2013 application.
LANG files are stored in the software to serve as a protocol for changing the language settings of a document being made with MS Word. If it is necessary to write text in correct grammar using, for example, Albanian language, .lang files enable users to set the language database, confirming it with the target dialect.
To utilize the .lang files in MS Word 2013, Click Review > Language > Set Proofing Language. The 'ABC with a Check' icon will let you know whether you have the proofing tools installed for that language. Scroll down on the provided list and click the language you want to use. Click OK to close the Language box. Return to the document and start typing in your preferred language.
If there is no 'ABC with a Check' icon, click the language anyway, click OK, and Word will prompt you to get the necessary proofing tools. In the Language box, scroll to the language that you want to use and look for the Check Spelling & Grammar icon in front of the language.
