Opening ICD files

Did your computer fail to open an ICD file? We explain what ICD files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your ICD files.

What is an ICD file?

The .icd file extension is most commonly associated with OpenGL drivers. These drivers are used to implement OpenGL pipelines for Windows software or gaming applications. They are used with high-end video cards that contain OpenGL pipeline within the video card hardware. The ICD file contains the installable client driver for the hardware.

The .icd file extension is also used for IronCAD 2D CAD files, Rayman 2 game files, Targa files, SafeDisc encrypted digital rights management files and Dungeon Keeper 2 game files.
