GBC File
What are GBC files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a GBC file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your GBC files.
What is a GBC file?
A .GBC file is a GameBoy Color ROM file.
Files containing the .gbc file extension usually store ROM images of video games developed for use with the Nintendo Game Boy Color portable gaming device. The original Game Boy device, which was released in 1989, could only display black and white images. Nintendo then released the Game Boy Color device in 1998.
Files containing the .gbc file extension store an exact duplicate of the game data on a Game Boy Color game cartridge. This GBC file allows the Game Boy Color game to be played on a Mac or PC. Of course, the PC must have the proper emulation software installed before the GBC file can be played on the computer.
