What are ETL files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening an ETL file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your ETL files.
What is an ETL file?
An .ETL file is a Window Trace/Diagnostics Log file.
ETL files are log files that have been created by the Microsoft Tracelog software application. This Microsoft program creates event logs in binary file format. These logs are created from the kernel in a Microsoft operating system.
The ETL logs can contain information about disk access and page faults, logging high-frequency events and recording the performance of the Windows operating system. This information can be used to analyze various Windows system issues.
