What is an ET file?

The .et file extension is used for a document file format that was developed by Kingsoft Research for one of their productivity tools. These ET files are spreadsheets or workbooks that can be created with the use of the Kingsoft Spreadsheets program. The Kingsoft Spreadsheets software is bundled with the Kingsoft Office suite, which is a set of productivity tools that was designed for Windows computers. Also known as Kingsoft Spreadsheet document files, these ET files may contain financial data, text, multimedia objects, formulas, equations or calculations and other presentation items. Formatting specifications, layout attributes and metadata details are also stored in these .et files. These .et files can be opened and edited using the Kingsoft Spreadsheets program. This software also allows users to export these ET spreadsheets to other more popular workbook file formats, such as XLS and XLSX.
