What are EMD files and how to open them

What is an EMD file?
EMD files have multiple uses, and DATACOMP 1.0 Compressed Archive is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

How to open EMD files
Important: Different programs may use files with the EMD file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your EMD file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

We know that one EMD format is Extended MOD Module. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
