What are DCA files and how to open them

What is a DCA file?
DCA files have multiple uses, and DCA Archiver Compressed Archive is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.
DCA Archiver Compressed Archive File
.DCA files belong to the compressed archive files that are created using the DCA Archiver application. A compressed archive file is a collection of multiple files with their metadata. Metadata is the embedded information or data describing the content of the archived file.
The .DCA files are created by DCA Archiver, an application used to create compressed archive files.
How to open DCA files
Important: Different programs may use files with the DCA file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your DCA file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

We know that one DCA format is IBM Document Content Architecture / Revisable Form Text. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
