What are DBR files and how to open them

What is a DBR file?

DBR files have multiple uses, and DB/TextWorks Database is one of them. Read more about the other uses further down the page.

DB/TextWorks Database

These files contain a combined text and multi-media database created with the help of Inmagic® DB/TextWorks®, which is a specialized combination of database and text retrieval software. These databases can be used to manage many different kinds of information, such as bibliographic catalogs, documents, images, multimedia, and so on.

DB/TextWorks is compatible with computers running the Windows operating system and may be installed on a single computer or shared across several computers in a networked setting. Through the use of DB/Text WebPublisher PRO, texbases created with DB/TextWorks may be made available through the web.

How to open DBR files

Important: Different programs may use files with the DBR file extension for different purposes, so unless you are sure which format your DBR file is, you may need to try a few different programs.

We know that one DBR format is DeepBurner Project. We have not yet analyzed in detail what these files contain and what they are used for. We're working on it.
