What is a CSD file?

The .csd file extension is used for a temporary file format that was developed by Microsoft. These CSD files can normally be seen in Microsoft SharePoint Server. Also known as Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 temporary files, these .csd files are usually found when a backup process is being performed in version 2007 of Microsoft SharePoint Server.Microsoft SharePoint Server is a network platform that can provide groups of users from small organizations to large enterprises with a faster and more efficient means to collaborate. This platform can also enable these groups to publish materials for customers and develop tools for internal functions within the workplace.A CSD file is not meant to be opened.
