Opening CPK files

Did your computer fail to open a CPK file? We explain what CPK files are and recommend software that we know can open or convert your CPK files.

What is a CPK file?

The CPK file extension is a file format that is generally found in Microsoft Driver Test Manager log files. The .cpk file is a storage container file that stores testing report and result logs. The bCPK files are useful when it comes to logging information about a hardware device.

Driver Test Manager allows users to test the computer drivers to obtain a "'Designed for Windows' logo" for the driver. Having the mentioned logo on the driver means that the driver is consistent with Windows and certain privileges is given to the driver in case of problems and malfunctions.

The .cpk file extension is also used as a file format for submitting reports to Microsoft. This is necessary so that a device can be verified, manage and may be certified for Windows system. CPK files are also immensely helpful for debugging tests that may have failed already. DTM log viewer is designed to support .cpk files contents' viewing.

Try a universal file viewer

In addition to the products listed above, I would suggest that you try a universal file viewer like Free File Viewer. It can open over 200 different types of files - and very likely yours too! Download Free File Viewer.
