What are CONTACT files and how to open them
Are you having problems opening a CONTACT file or are you simply curious about its contents? We're here to explain the properties of these files and provide you with software that can open or handle your CONTACT files.
What is a CONTACT file?
A .CONTACT file is a Windows Contact file.
Files that contain the .contact file extension are most commonly used by a variety of software applications on the Microsoft Windows Vista platform to store information about a user and the user's email and messaging contacts.
Windows Vista and Windows 7 are the two programs that use the .contact file suffix to store a user's contact information for various applications. This file format replaced the older Windows Address Book.
The CONTACT files are usually saved in the XML file format. For example, Microsoft Windows Live is one application that uses the CONTACT file format to store a user's contact information.
